Many say NFT Twitter is becoming more superficial than it was months ago. Visionary and WAGMI tweets are gone, and people frequently shitposts and judge one another. 

In the article “Why is it still early?!” I described that we had experienced three onboarding phases since early last year. During each of the phases, the number of NFT newcomers increased dramatically, as you can see below👇

March 21 - from 15,000 to 50,000 August 21 - from 60,000 to 220,000January 22 - from 350,000 to 550,000

Although the current market is highly liquid after the Otherside and Moonbirds launches, the number of active wallets decreased to roughly 500,000. Yeah, it is still like a village. Each phase brings new excitement and responsibility in onboarding new people. We are still waiting for the next one that makes the market alive, visionary, and exciting again.

Elon Musk changed his PFP on Twitter to Bored Apes. ApeCoin quickly soared by 15%, and Apes were flying on OpenSea. The image he used is from the Sotheby’s auction that happened last September. 101 Bored Apes were sold to an anonymous buyer for $24.4 million during the auction. The floor of Bored Apes was 40 ETH, and many now speculate it was Elon who bought it. Or is he just trolling?🤣

Murakami Flowers are revealing. Holders were notified via email to click the “Reveal” button on the official website. The record sale is 100 ETH, and Murakami himself sniped some of the rare ones. The floor of Seeds dropped slightly to the current 7.6 ETH, and the revealed collection sits at 5.3 ETH.

Azuki Beanz reveal is tomorrow. Azuki airdropped Beanz a month ago during NFT LA, and tomorrow we finally see the reveal. The community is pumped and expecting it will be more than the characters officially introduced two weeks ago. As with the bluechip collections, some people's lives will be changed. Good luck.🤞 The current floor is 5.9 ETH.

Johnnie Walker partners with VeeFriends and GaryVee to enter web3. Gary made it from his dad’s liquor store to become one of the most influential people in the world. And in his 20s, he would never believe this would happen.

“Anybody that knows me knows that I grew up in the liquor industry. So if somebody told 22-year-old Gary that his NFT/IP project would be collaborating with the iconic Johnnie Walker Blue Bottle, he would’ve fallen off his chair,” Gary said.

Kraken announced the NFT marketplace, and the waitlist is now open. Like Coinbase, Kraken wants to be user-friendly. They will not charge transaction fees on NFT trades, but they will charge them when transferring NFTs on and off the marketplace.
