Weekly Learnings #6
Here is what fascinated me this week...

Gm fam,
I am back from Lisbon, and here is what I learned and found fascinating this week:

What fascinated me
1/ Apple's Vision Pro has exceeded expectations. It's not often that Apple introduces first-generation hardware, but when they do, they typically revolutionize the category.
YouTuber Marques Brownlee has made an amazing video about his first impressions of testing the headset, and it's definitely worth checking out.

2/ PFPs will become part of pop culture. Friends from MetaBrewSociety have made a special edition of The Grateful Show Brew, utilizing the IP of our PFPs. It was the first time I was able to experience how people interact with a physical product branded with my Cool Cat - I learned a lot! It was beautiful to see the happiness of Web3 degens, but what surprised me even more was that people who knew nothing about NFTs absolutely loved it. They were curious about the characters and thought it was playful and memorable branding. This reminded me that we often wait for NFT projects to launch the next big thing and forget that the next big thing is already in our hands. Stay tuned, more physical products are coming. 😊

3/ Twitter is expanding its list of competitors. Firstly, Twitter soon allows creators to access subscribers' emails, positioning itself in direct competition with newsletter platforms like Substack or Mailchimp. Secondly, Elon encourages individuals to transition from legacy media and start "TV shows" on Twitter - Tucker Carlson aired his first episode this week and it was viewed by over 110 million people. (😲) This is remarkable considering that Carlson’s Show on Fox News usually garners 3 million viewers. Lastly, Twitter soon starts sharing ad revenues with creators, similar to YouTube. Will Twitter become the digital town square for all?

4/ ERC-4337 is a new Ethereum standard that paves the way for user-friendly crypto wallet designs, which could lead us to mass adoption. This can enable us to use crypto as seamlessly as we use credit cards, while still maintaining decentralization. I've written a thread where I discuss examples and implications.

Routine I started
I believe that good habits provide freedom.
This week I downloaded the app Streaks, which helps you track your daily habits.
I'm starting with the Daily Workout, Cold Shower, and 3 Coffee Maximum daily routines.
Fingers crossed I don't break the streak. 🤞
Reminder
Failing is part of the learning process.

Have a beautiful weekend fam,
Beast.
