Weekly Learnings #7

Here is what fascinated me this week...

Gm fam,

Here is what I learned and found fascinating this week:

What fascinated me

1/ A person took out a $14,500 loan using blockchain technology, collateralizing two Rolexes. They sent the watches to an escrow company, which stored them and issued an NFT to affirm their ownership. If the loan isn't repaid, the lender can utilize the NFT to claim the watches. This presents a fascinating use of NFTs.

2/ Snoop Dogg is launching the first-ever evolving tour collectible. It's like a tour poster that evolves with each place Snoop stops on tour. Available for 0.025 ETH, this is a cool way for fans to gain behind-the-scenes access to Snoop and collect some unique art.

3/ The founder of Ethereum believes that for the blockchain to succeed, 3 things must happen: no gas fees, no seed phrases, and enhanced privacy. I've summarized his thoughts in the thread below to see his vision.

What I’m looking forward to

1/ Paris Fashion Week Men's starts next week, during which Pharrell will reveal his first collection as Creative Director at Louis Vuitton. Additionally, Gmoney and Jeff Staple are set to unveil the 9dcc x Stapleverse limited edition baseball cap.

2/ Nike has teased an upcoming Airphoria NFT sneaker hunt in Fortnite. The teaser features the logo of Epic Games alongside Nike’s DotSwoosh platform, surprising given Fortnite's closed ecosystem. Could we be witnessing the introduction of NFTs in Fortnite for the first time? If so, this event would bring NFTs to a game with 250 million monthly active players. More details are coming on Tuesday. 👀

3/ Azuki is hosting its annual event, Follow The Rabbit, next week at Hakkasan in Las Vegas. Are there any 'check your wallet' surprises coming?

Threads that provided value

1/ I'm usually skeptical about tweets featuring houses and cars, but this guy genuinely shared some amazing thoughts about life and career.

Routine I do

Every evening, I write down a list of things I must complete the next day. It’s a game-changer, and a 15-minute prep saves me hours of work the following day.

Here's how I do it:

  1. Intentions - These are the 1-3 most important things I must complete tomorrow.

  2. Action Steps - This is a checklist of smaller tasks I aim to complete tomorrow.

  3. Journal - Here, I write down any ideas or learnings I came across today.

I've realized that without the list, I feel busy but naturally end up spending more time on less important things. It also helps me wake up without hitting the snooze button because I immediately know what needs to be done that day.

Books I ordered this week

I want to improve my writing and got these two books recommended by NFT God as an absolute must.

Reminder

It’s a long game 😊

Have a beautiful day fam,

Beast.
